Installed the background on my 90 gallon. I just need to make a day to do the tank swap.

Today is the planned move day for the tank swap out. My nephew is to help me do the heavy lifting part of the move.

I will need to put the 3 RTM into the 65B community for the morning and then move the Trimac to the other 75. Then the process of taking out all the gravel in the old 75 and doing the swap. But I also decided its time to do a gravel swap in the RTM’s 75 as well! So a busy garage fish tanks day in store!

A little clean up in the 300 and a few garage tanks. Currently my 3 RTM fry are in the community 65b while I redo their 75 gallon. I am doing new substrate and probably needing to put a light blocker on this background like I did with my 90 to prevent extra algae growth

Yesterday I rehomed one of the bristle nosed pleco I got from @fishguy1978 to my son and fiance for their 36g bowfront. I still have 3 going in the 65B which feels way to crowded. I might move one into the 75 with the RTM growouts.

Today was also clean out an FX6 filter day. It got all new sponges and seals.

What are the smooth stones and educate my ignorance on their use? I have used red volcanic rock b/ of the porosity but am not familiar with those. Thanks.

I use Seachem Matrix for biological filtration in many of my filters. The stones are not actually smooth, they are micro-porous, and have a much greater surface area per unit volume than volcanic rock or other materials that appear quite porous macroscopically. Also easy to clean. :)

It's 9:45 in the morning and I am sitting in my car waiting to meet someone to get some free fish... Two angel fish to add to my 65. Hopefully nice fish, hard to tell from internet pics they posted.

Person was 45 minutes late, they had difficulty catching fish and had to drain tank to catch them. The tank water was very green and algae filled but fish seemed healthy enough.

Where did you pick them up at? I hope after that wait that you didn’t have to drive far too
Was over in Tacoma off Pearl street by El Toro, so not that far away.

The fish are settling in and getting more comfortable. The tank needed a bit more stock and they fill in the space nicely. The RTM growouts are still in the community tank and doing just fine. Been too lazy to catch and move them, lol

Cleaned garage tanks and installed new heater in my 90 gallon. Put up a couple pics under product reviews. Approximate length 11 1/2" for a 300 watt is awesome, along with digital readout and no hands in water to set.
