What did you do with your tank(s) today?

Perhaps she would be interested in some Shrimp Creole-

The PNW has a weird understanding of what Andouille sausage is. I have to go back to Texas and Louisiana to find the good stuff. Same for my seasonings. But that looks good. I might make some Cajun style jambalaya this week. I'll hold off til the holiday break to make gumbo. But thanks for reminding me to find some filé.

But more to your point, I got 3 pounds of shrimp and some pepper bacon so she can make mac and cheese.

It’s because of Hank Williams that I know how to pronounce those words! Jambalaya on the Bayou.

I don't buy coney dogs out here.
Ran into a street vendor selling Coney dogs and got a very defensive answer to "Do you put beans in the chili"

I'll take 3 my good sir lol Maybe rock a cursive D hat next time so I know you're legit ;) Chili dogs don't have chili, it's a thick meat sauce with a fair amount of offal with the ground meat. Lafayette and American are the Starbucks of Coney. The small Greek family run ones are the best. Best sliders too.

Brought in two five gallon buckets of rainwater to warm up overnight. Topped off the daphnia tank and did a partial water change and top off on the 30 gal Stickleback and peamouth tank. Removed a couple pounds of mostly duckweed from all the tanks. Put a bit in the goldfish pond, but they're off hibernating. If it survives until a warmer day, they'll have a nice digestible winter treat.

Any reason you use rain over tap? Aside from having to declorinate the tap?

Live cultures are starting to give some gifts of mosquito larvae, daphnia and massive scuds. So fed the sorority, males and sticklebacks some live food. The peamouth chubs gorged themselves lol Moved the scuds into the 2.5 QT to help that rebound along with adding daphnia to both cultures.

Plus pumpkin Alex being adorable:) She's got a nice fat pad built up on her tail and doing a lot of digging getting ready for brumation (on time for once I hope) Though she is also of age to be gravid so she might drop some eggs this time too.
