Lost the large hoplo to the fungus
Love the Eheims my go to heater. Those fish are beautiful hopefully all ends wellI had a heater failure yesterday, but fortunately it was stuck 'off,' not 'on,' and with the high ambient temperature, the water temp didn't drop more than 6-7 degrees. It's just a 40L grow-out tank, but it does have some young Xenotilapia bathyphilus, a deep-water species that is very sensitive to temperature fluctuations, so fingers crossed. Turns out it was a Marineland heater (of course!); I thought I'd thrown away the last of those damn things a long time ago! Have a spare heater mounted for now, and an Eheim-Jager coming from Amazon tomorrow, at which time all of my tanks will have the Eheim heaters. Finally.
Farmland in Silverdale, posted a review of them. I need to get some pics with them by the bigger ones. They are small and I feared the Bocourti might take a nibble at them but the vegetarian in them shows, not even a second glance at them like they are food. So now Ive got 4 hoplo total with 3 being albino. Will try and get some updated pics soon. They have settled in nicely and seem to be eating well.Where? Pictures?!!
He’s pouting because he knows you are hiding a 300g from him. HahaHad to go into the garage this morning, flipped light on and the "Bumblebee" was not happy but looked the way I wish it would.

If I leave the garage door open he can see the other tank… maybe he does know. He’s pouting because he knows you are hiding a 300g from him. Haha
Looking good, dmd
Yes, but not with Plecostomus, with Tropheus. Any fish with teeth specialized for rasping that grazes on algae growing on higher plant leaves will cause this kind of damage, eventually killing the plant. Not much to be done about it, but I'll bet it's the little Pleco's that are the culprits here.Almost wanted to start up a separate topic on this in the plant section... In my 46g bowfront Im having issues with the plecos eating my Anubias leaves. Not sure who the culprit(s) are. There are an adult male and female bn pleco, a green phantom and three baby bn pleco. This seemed to have started when the babies got into the tank. Anyway, the plants are looking rough with little holes getting eaten in the nice leaves. Anyone else have issues like that?
