What did you do with your tank(s) today?

Spent time on tanks today. Water changes on both 90's and 65B's. Super easy to clean today because of the good cleaning on Thursday morning.

Worked on the 300 and put in new UV bulb in the UV filter. Also did a full cleaning on the final FX6 on that tank. Did my preventative maintenance on the FX6 and put in new gaskets all around.

Anyone used VitroClear as substrate? Its got a lot of floating particles but when I check the MSDS it has nothing like plastic listed. It's pretty small I had to use my chinios to actually collect them. Just as little concerned.

I haven’t , and I tried to research it and couldn’t really find much info about it. Any pics of what the bag said?

All post consumer glass. It's a lot better now. And once I got to thinking that they don't recycle glass and plastic together, it couldn't really be plastic.

I've got some wood on order. I like the tannins in the water. And it makes them happy. So win win. Then to put in some artificial plants and whatnot to fill some of the space.

Went into petsmart today to see if any canister filters were still on black Friday sale(they weren't), and came across their plant clearance section. Ended up getting four young sword plants and a couple crypt cultures for just 10 bucks.

I have never seen clearance stickers on the plants at a pet store. I wonder if the chain is changing brands, I better go check my location too, love some cheap plants.

Maintenance account day. He uses large gravel, smooth stones and multi colored marbles to decorate his tanks. He has cories, 4 banjo cats and 2 D. Urostriatums. I removed the banjos and the 2 flagtails from one tank and brought them home. The cories still have their whiskers where one of the flagtails does not. Unfortunately, I don't think they will regrow.

They put them on clearance regularly when they start to deteriorate a bit. A few leaves falling off, brown or yellow leaves, etc. Just a way for them to make a few bucks before having to throw them out. Ive been tempted a few times but Im just not ready to try and bring plants back to life.

I added a small rock feature to go with the larger one I ordered from Universal Rock.

Measurements in US/Imperial

Length: 9 in
Width: 5.5 in
Height: 3.5 in

I figured it would give a little more interest when I add plants and what not. Just the one big boulder would odd... I dont know, will wait and see how these look.
