What did you do with your tank(s) today?

You just had to get in on the Black Friday deals, didn’t you. Haha
I hadn’t really spent much on equipment lately. Felt like a good investment which would then give me a couple emergency heaters. Im not sure if I posted it but one of my Aquarium Master heaters is starting to loose number readouts on it. I contacted the company and asked about warranty but no answer yet.

Im so used to waking up by 6am for work that even on my day off I can’t sleep in…ugh.

Took advantage of my “found” time and dis water changes on 5 of the 6 garage tanks. Just need to do the shellie one now, which requires a bit more delicate touch so I do not accidentally suck up little fish, lol. Just got in replacement UV bulbs last night so the 300 will get that and possibly a FX6 cleaning along with water change.

Was thinking I would see more Black Friday sales at online fish vendors but noting at Imperial Tropicals or Exotic Fish. Been searching for a fancy pleco or catfish for the oscar tank

Well after doing a water change in a tank, what's the last thing you want to do? Do it again just for fun. Yep I did a second water change on my 65B because it stunk!

Ive been trying to pellet train the red wolf and the Hikari Carnivore pellets had just sat uneaten and for those familiar with this and Massivore, you know it stinks up the water.

I gave in today and fed some earthworms but still trying to get this guy on pellets. Usually the Hikari stuff is the most readily accepted but this guy is fighting me on it, lol.

Morning of online Black Friday sales... Found something Ive wanted for a long time. A rock, a nice big fake one from Universal Rocks. It is the one piece I felt like the 300 was missing.

Impressed a 13 gallon "rock" only weighs 2.2 lbs. Do they make them hollow so they fill with water and sink? Does the water inside circulate?

Should look super cool, all my home made fake rocks require ample silicone glue, if one pops loose I expect to lose a glass lid, and hopefully not the bottom of the tank above it lol.

I wanted a sizable ‘rock’ for the 300 and this was the safest way to do it. Im not sure what they are made of but the company has been around for years and Ive seen a few good comments on their products…. Or the other alternative was to have @fishguy1978 help me, he has lots of experience putting boulders in tanks. :lol

Gonna make the 10g a shrimp tank. I miss watching those little guys run around.
Sounds great! 10g shrimp tank and some friendly goldfish in a 75g.

if I’m ever up that way, I still have fishguy1978’s old rescue dojo loaches and could bring them for your goldfish tank. They are extra large sized. I believe I have two white ones and one standard left. But I don’t pay them much attention so those numbers may be slightly off.

Note to self: 75g tanks are hard to move by yourself. Lol

Luckily I have a nice dolly and cheap pillows. My wife could only watch from the couch as she broke her foot recently. But its up and filled, gotta let it run and settle down. It's dusty, didn't rinse the substrate. Lol

Where are you located? If you are in the Tacoma area post a request for help and I'm willing to lift.
