What did you do with your tank(s) today?

Went to dash point today for a walk / interesting drift wood for Alex. I think I might need to trim it a little bit and maybe bring in a helicopter lol

Did find a nice shaped piece, but too big for my tanks and not a good shape / size for Alex so I left it up near bathrooms for someone else to enjoy. Probably a nice piece for a large tank. Not a huge piece, but really chunky and knotty.

Nothing interesting going on in my fish keeping right now. Just the typical cleaning, feeding routine going on.

Having fun raising the new red wolf out, and getting ready to do a different aqua-scape on his tank. Have still been on the lookout for one more goldfish, found the one I wanted but with shipping, it would have been $400, so I had to pass on that.

I do want to upgrade a couple heaters as a preventative measure and working on the aqua-scape on a couple tanks. Did buy a replacement heater this morning from Kens for the 65B as a start to the equipment upgrades.

When I lived over towards east side Tacoma I had seen some peacocks before. Apparently some sort of pet at some point that became a free range neighborhood mascot.

I spotted fry in my 40-gallon today! There are only 20 rosy tetras in the tank right now, and I've seen the tetras spawning, but the fry may be cherry barbs since recently I moved floaters from the cherry barb bin to the 40. Either way, I'm surprised any survived long enough for me to spot. I haven't got any good pictures since they're so small. I'll see if they make it to tomorrow when I can try again.

I set up a 5 gallon hospital tank to separate the more aggro male tetras since they were ripping each other up so much. I hoped they would settle into a stable pecking order, but they were getting too damaged in my opinion. I might try to set up pairs and raise fry in the hospital tank once everyone has recovered.

I haven't been able to successfully raise up any tetra fry, if you do I know a guy that would buy 30-50 from you... You mention aggressiveness, what size tank did you put then in and how many?

As I was putting the new Universal Rocks cypress knee in the tank I did a gravel vac and water change on that tank and both goldfish tanks. Ive come to realize how much work the goldies are. I can get away with a once a week gravel vac and water change, which Ive done for the past two weeks but I hate myself when it comes time, because the tanks are just so, so, so dirty! While I do love the outgoingness and color going on with these fish, they have caused me more work each week. The 90g with two ac110's does okay with the 5 fish but the 65B with a single AC110 and 3 fish really gets bad. Have been thinking of moving some of the goldies around and in one scenario I would rehome 2 and keep 6 in the 90g and do something else in the 65B. But then I see their cute little faces and decide to keep them longer, lol
