What did you do with your tank(s) today?

One goldfish finished the job so I moved it to another tank lol. This tank (10) is currently unoccupied just growing some elodea and moss. Going to split my blonde Endlers and keep the white bodied magenta blondes that are popping up in that tank with very plain young blonde females. Going to try a "trick" to speed up the process a bit. Now that I understand the blonde genetics, gonna see for myself that the double recessive trick works then try it on a strain I have had a little trouble getting to breed true.

@fishguy1978, looking good. I wish I would have had my 300 gallon (glass) drilled when I purchased it. Was trying to be frugal and decided to do the 3 FX6 filters instead. In the long run the sump set up would have been a cleaner look and easier to maintain. And at this point I would not replace or modify the big tank. Maybe if I ever redid the fishroom... I can dream, lol

Big holes lol Lexan looks like? I bought 1/2 and 1 in bits (saws?) awhile back for drilling vases / pots for planters. I'm too much of a wimp to even try them on broken pots lol So far at least.

3/8in glass. I’ve drill other tanks before and this one too. I added a bulkhead at the other end for the auto water change. I have a Eshopps Eclipes external overflow ordered.

Warming up some rain water to top off the indoor cultures and Stickleback tanks. Also brainstorming taking the next step with the snail tank. Going to do a PNW terrarium using an IKEA greenhouse and some cutting :) I've had the idea in my head awhile, think I'm gonna start tinkering.

I was going to split off my blonde Endlers tank to start breeding two strains. I had removed the stock from a ten gallon a couple weeks ago and was stuffing the tank with elodea. Started to get ready and noticed a cloudy swarm in the corner. Got a better look and the glass is covered in baby scuds. Moved some elodea and daphnia are everywhere. Going to wait a couple weeks for the scuds to grow a bit and hopefully establish in the tank. I'm sure adult Endlers will eat all the daphnia and smaller scuds, just want some larger ones to hopefully reproduce enough to provide snacks.

Finally got confirmation that my Universal Rocks order shipped and I should get it next week on Wednesday. Hopefully no issues with this one. This will allow me to get the 65B looking somewhat like a aqua-scaped tank instead of a big empty box of water, lol. The one cypress knee should give me enough presence and still allow the wolf fish plenty of swimming space.

Today is Parona's (garra) most hated day, that I sometimes also do a water change on - Fast Day.

But she cleans so nice on these days, even above the water line, that I haven't had to scrub the glass for a year. :D

Overflow arrived. I had not been able to find my drilling template so i used the measurements from a post on the Reef2Reef forum. I then found my template after I was done and it would not fit over the two 1.5in bulkheads I had installed. o_O They were to close together by 7/16in.
Whoever put the measurements on R2R was correct though :cool:IMG_0580.jpegIMG_0579.jpeg
