Well ever since the big move from the 90 to the 300 the Pearsei (Kirby) has decided to stop taking algae wafers from my fingers. He greets me, follows me and does the dance for food but no more hand feeding. He really likes floating foods and the bala’s tend to go for sinking so its a great match up. Then too the pearsei wont touch the raw tilapia intended for the bichirs so another good match up.

Been using pill boxes with measured out amounts of food for the daily feedings. once in the morning before work and once in the evening after. On occasion I break apart a Fluval Bug bite Algae “crisp” as a treat.

The pearsei, bala sharks and bichir are all doing very well. Im loving the fact the 4 big amphilophus are gone and only one slightly smaller (lol, at the moment) fish replaced them. The tank has been looking much cleaner lately. Plus I feel its more at a correct stock level, just a better overall balance.

Been hard at work setting up a shell dweller tank. Ordered fish that should be in next week. Will update when they come in.

Did a gravel vac water change to the 90 housing the lone Rhino pleco. He poops a lot! But he is just a beast of a pleco so I just vac it up and keep him, lol. Debating if I want to put an Oscar in with him. Specifically a bumblebee Oscar from Wet Spot. If I did order from wet spot I would be tempted to get the bumblebee Oscar for the 90 and a Red wolf fish for my 65B.

I had an awesome day today with my son… first we swung out to fishguy1978 place to check out his awesome setup and breeding factory and to also pick up a 20g and 29g for our science department so they could run density tests with the students, then we drove out to poulsbo area to visit sir Keith and to pick up a 55 gallon setup for my classroom .

I must say that sir Keith’s tanks are amazing in pics and even better in person. The fish were spectacular and his place is amazing.

My son loved that he was able to check out some car show worthy cars, he fell in love with sir Keith’s rag doll cats and he also enjoyed watching the tropheus eat lettuce and asked a bunch of questions on the way home.

I need to also mention that we also picked up a second 55g for fishguy1978 and then dropped it off on our way home.

all in all a fantastic days with some of my favorite things….
——my son, fish, cats, cars, plants, and watching some boats!

Did all water changes a few days ago so just feeding and enjoying the fish today. Moved the similis back into the 40 breeder after having it as a planted tank for about 5 months. I've confirmed again that I'm not really a plant person and I'm just in it for the fish . Here's a few pics from around the tanks.

Thanks for the tank. I'm loving the way you painted the back. I will be swapping out the lower 55g because it had a broken center brace.
Glad the tanks are going to good homes. I have an unopened can of that blue crystal paint that you can have if you have a use for it; it's not easy to find.

My family and I got to enjoy a nice visit with @sir_keith today. Had a good time in the garage and got to see all the new upgrades and shuffle of his fish room.

I will be building another tank rack and setting up the pair of 55s as fall lands on us and crab/salmon season unwinds. I'm thinking they will be a fusion of two of my existing tanks (in style not stocking).

3d basalt background with some missing blocks for cave space, and multi approved planting.

Keith and I will also be putting applications for NASA after figuring out how to put a pair of 48" wide tanks in the back of a Tahoe. Apollo missions test accomplished.

lol, thats kind of how Im feeling. My one and only planted tank is alive but not really thriving. I could take it or leave it at this point. Though I have had to divide Java fern because it apparently is like a weed that seems to like my tanks.

Just set up my classroom tank for some lake Tanganyika cichlids….. everything in here minus filter and heater are generous donations from Sir Keith.

running filter floss for a few days to make sure any of the crushed coral that wasn’t rinsed enough will be nice and good.

I plan to add some rocks and maybe a plant or two tomorrow. Filter media came from an established tank ( minus the extra filter floss).

That is awesome! A big shout out to @sir_keith for helping keep the kids properly educated about fishkeeping and @lloyd378 bringing up the next generation of Fish-boxers.

Looking good! I must say it's a bit strange seeing one of 'my' tanks in a classroom. I want to see the fish-eye's view of the classroom when it is full of students!
