What did you do with your tank(s) today?

My 75g planted tank seems to have leveled out ... no fish losses in 3-4 days. Still not going to buy anything for that tank but did move two small Siamese algae eaters into it since the algae growth on the plants was getting crazy.
The tank still has 3 angels, 2 female mollies, 4 starbei corys and now the two SAE.

hoping that tank is coming back around but still far too earlier to tell

Had another spawning of my WC Ophthalmotilapia nasuta Kipili Gold's last night. I was expecting this because the alpha male has really been in a frenzy the last few days. Not great timing given the current state of my fish room, but if this female (#1) holds for another day or two I will move her into a more mellow featherfin community and see how that works. Here she is, looking a bit confused-

Been getting real bored with my Arrowhead puffer, the lurking predator thing is very boring. I could put up with it a bit when I had my other hairy puffer that was so personable and friendly, but now Im kind of done with keeping the pet rock. Im a bit bored with the trimacs too. These guys seem very skittish and not really doing anything to help me want to keep them. Thankfully the living room tank is full of fun amphs and the rtm female is pretty interactive. My community planted bowfront is fun too. Ive always liked to keep fish long term but Im at a crossroads in fishkeeping right now. Just a bit bored... Have had idea in the past like getting an axolotl, miss having an interactive Oscar. Might see some fish up for sale soon...

I have been interested in African cichlids for a while but never took the plunge. I have a feeling with how much I enjoy a mixed “community” tank, I would love to do an African mix that includes some small syno cats.

Doing mixtures of African cichlids can be tricky, because in many cases their various requirements are similar, which can lead to conflicts. It's not impossible, but does require careful forethought. The African cichlid sections of the national Cichlid Forum are chock full of 'stocking questions' regarding just this point.

I put a 50 breeder in the back seat of a 325i once upon a time
Seriously? What are the dimensions of a 50 breeder? I put a 45L in the back seat of my '91 325is a few years ago, and it was as tight as tight could be. I do know, from experience long past, that a 55 will fit in the back seat (if you can even call it a 'seat') of a '69 Mustang. o_O

36 x 18.
Wow, that would be a jigsaw puzzle to fish it in and out.

Finished up with the garage tank water changes this morning. Working on the 300 as I write this. Got half of the tank gravel vac’d and sand smoothed out from all the cichlid digging. Will try and smooth out the rest tomorrow. Being back at work now pretty much means once a week water changes on the tanks, with an occasional twice a week on a select garage tank.

Today I did a cold water change in the trimac tank to see if it would trigger any breeding. Also turned down all the Beamswork lights one setting to help reduce algae growth. Was set at 4, now at 3. Recently I cut time down by an hour but with just once a week water changes, I am seeing algae growth on the glass, especially in non pleco tanks.
