What did you do with your tank(s) today?

I have poor impulse control hahaha. It was such a good price (normal is like $350)
Dont feel bad, I have an FX5 just sitting in the garage as a spare. Rebuilt the impeller, cleaned and dried it up and it just sits waiting for an emergency to use. I should just set it up on my 90g trimac tank.

Exactly, if I keep this then I'll have to buy another tank to use it on! haha

Today was a bit of boredom so I took off for a drive and ended up at Midway, then Sierra and finally at the Aquarium Co-Op. No fish came home with me on the journey of boredom, lol. I did get a small piece of mopani, a plastic plant and some sponges, real exciting stuff!

Besides the Argentea at Midway, did Sierra have anything?

Midway had the Argentea and what they called “loiselle jaguar”. I think I saw a L075 pleco. Sierra had some small cutteri and the typical run of the mill stuff.
Overall the only thing I saw that you might like were the argentea and out of the 7 they had, I thought 3 were pretty decent, 1 had no pattern, and the others were just ‘okay’

Was going to mention that I saw a pleco I fell in love with at the Co-Op. It was an L-133 for about $50. It would be a great fish for my 65B community. The problem is I dont know if I want to keep that as a community or do something else with it. I still love the idea of a red wolf and after seeing the activity level of the one @FishBeast posted in his video, makes me want one more, but I feel bad keeping it in a 3ft tank. Seems like it would need a 4ft tank.

Right now the 65B just feels like its missing something to swim in the upper areas. Maybe some livebearers, gourami, another tetra or get more of the ones I have already? Still a work in progress.

Super bored waiting on fish shipment to come in. Lots of tank cleaning going on as I am waiting.

Questioning my choice of a big pleco with all the poop I had to vac from small ones, lol. They are cool looking so I will enjoy having it.

Just did water changes again, that's 3 water changes in 6 days, so much easier now.

Also completed set up of final 180. Picked up an awesome piece of decor on cyber Monday for it. This tank will be the home of all my new additions. Getting everything at about 1.5", so they all will grow together.

Changed up the Bifa tank decor, added a huge piece of spider wood and a huge cool looking rock that I've had for years, no idea what type of rock it is. Getting it ready to add about 20 clowns.

Just arrived yesterday, 12 Xenotilapia flavipinnis 'Kekese' Red Royal, ~1-1/2" TL. These are F1's, and are actually showing more hints of color than I would have expected at this size. Only my second biparental mouthbrooder.

They'll have a 55 to themselves for the time being. My hope would be to have three breeding pairs in this tank once they grow up.

Had not seen my bristle nose pleco in the 90 in a while. Fearing the worst, I pulled out a flashlight and started looking around. I found him, lol. There was a natural occurring cave structure in the bottom of the large Mopani.

Went to Pet Works today. Picked up another small piece of Mopani. Im collecting a bunch of pieces at this point with the intent of a major makeover in one of the tanks. Not sure what I am going to do but trying to come up with something...

Moved the chocolate into the 90g with the rainbows. It’s about half their size. They are checking it out but no aggression so far.
The chocolate hasn’t turned its nose up at any food I’ve tried yet.
The guppy dithers have not fared well not sure which Cichlid is responsible but the liberifer is still in there after this evening so I will find out.

Ive heard that chocolate’s have a very Oscar like personality. That should be a fun fish to keep.

Creative brain juices are flowing so gonna name it chocolate lol. Hangs still with its head up watching the surface. I have some dried black flies that I will have to try.
