Pleco?
What did you do with your tank(s) today?

New fish catch location is Rio Paquita, not really sure if it makes any difference in the look as an adult compared to regular tank raised fishes.
I normally get 3-4 and grow out and pick the best but the one I got was basically best of what Sierra had. They only had about 7 and mine was the best of those. Maybe I should have got a few, who knows if Wet Spot will get them again.
Put it in with the pearsei and the little thing went and hid in one of the pleco caves. I dont believe it to be any aggressive behavior, just the bigger fish having a look at a new thing in its tank. Hopefully it settles in and can relax. I had been wanting this cichlid for a while now. Will be a perfect solo fish if male. Nice and colorful and can get to 6”.

Good guesses, it is a Amatitlania sajica, the T-bar cichlid or Sajica cichlid
I wanted one for a while now because the males remind me of a stocky little amph.

Is it possible to sex then at that size? You should get a pair
I dont know, hadn’t really looked into that too much. Was hoping for a male based off the larger size and dominant attitude of the one I picked. I guess the breed easily like convicts but you dont see them around much. I would not mind raising out some of these.Is it possible to sex then at that size? You should get a pair
I had a pair from rapps years back… amazing little fish with cool color. My pair were just as feisty as a standard “mutt” convict sold at all fish stores.
So if you decide to get a pair, remember that they get very territorial during mating.
Only one Aquarium Master heater left. All four of the 300 watt heaters had the display go out where you couldn’t read the temp. The 200 watt in the 46g bowfront is the only one still reading correctly. I felt that the heaters were working just not displaying correctly. Kind of the whole purpose of a digital readout…
New T-bar cichlid is too scared to come out of the pleco cave. I took a liitle bit of frozen food and guided into his cave so he had a bit of food to eat. Might pick up some live bearers to act as dithers and see if that helps. I really would love to find some green sailfin mollies but think I would have to order those online.

I must admit that I miss being able to go to the LFS to shop for fishes; one of the downsides of keeping the kinds of specialized fishes that I do.
@fishguy1978 its been hours now and not even a hint? Like where the water in the bag came from? Lakewood? Olympia?

A much needed thorough cleaning of the fishroom today. All tanks got nice big scrub Downs And big water changes. Took a nice video of the 600 but of course unless I post to youtube I cannot post here. Moved the new female festae in with all of the grow outs Of somewhat similar size, want to see how she reacts in a group setting.
