Microgeophagus ramirizi (then in the genus Apistogramma) was one of my first cichlids, and I still love them. I once had two breeding pairs in a 5 gallon tank, and they used to spawn synchronously! It was awesome! Great little fishes. I also really like their somewhat larger but very handsome relative, M. altispinosa.Wow you all have some amazingly framed and focused fish pics. Allot of those I've never seen in a home aquarium before, I may have to step up my game lol.

I'll work on getting more variety but specializing in soft water and nano fish most of my other species are pretty tiny and uncooperative lol.
