That’s the way mine always grew. I’ve owned about 3 of them. They would get long fins and then slowly grow into their bodies at around the 6-7” mark…. I will say that I couldn’t keep them alive as the other fish I had were more aggressive eaters and also just more territorial so they always got stressed and passed away.The EBJD, growing sooooo slowwwwly

To me its a bit 'off' with the fins growing out way too long and just a slight bit out of proportion but it is a very friendly outgoing fish so Im continuing to raise it.
