What did you do with your tank(s) today?

Played around with the 300 and added my new plant. What a difference to have a large scale item like that. My wife even commented that now the Weco brand plants on the right side of the tank look too 'neon' green and bright. She liked the scale and color of the Universal Rocks products. These are built for big tanks.

Welp, the first offering of a silver side to my red wolf fish was a hard pass….. It swam over, checked it out, and then swam away. I left it in the tank for ten minutes but he never came back for it.

i then pulled it out and offered it to my ornate bichirs but my 4.5” red Dovii had other thoughts and is now enjoying a bite too large to fit in its mouth. Haha4A8FD3C3-0D90-4171-9246-4822FE76FBB1.jpeg5A0A112F-1962-4CF6-8F15-B1EC0148003F.jpeg

I fed my wolf some tilapia fillet with slits cut in it and Hikari carnivore pellets stuffed in. For some reason this keeps him satisfied the longest and he will sit and digest that longer than most other foods. Ive been trying to vary his diet and sneak pellets in when I can. I cant believe how many years of being in the hobby and only just recently considered getting a wolf. They are very personable fish.

Yes!

my puffer ate all but 3, I threw those 3 in my 220 with my bichirs and adult red jewel cichlids…. He was the only one that made it, and just this past month, he faded! He has no red spotting like his father, but with it fading at 4.5” I think it is a late bloomer.

he has also become increasingly more aggressive. He’s not only holding his own with the jewels now, he’s starting to gain dominance.

Getting ready for the cold weather… the garage has heat from tapping into the furance line but when cold weather hits, the heat pump and electric furnace really have a hard time keeping things warm. So I am getting a couple space heaters tomorrow in preparation for this next week. I think eventually I would like to do a ceiling heater in the garage, but for now a couple space heaters

Pretty decent luck!

I've seen those, is this a new manufacturer? I can't find anything aside from reviews. No manufacturer website.
I have used them for years and they just have got even better now. I have the Beamswork EA on my garage tanks and with the optional dimmer/timer makes these totally awesome lights.

I'm not sure who manufactures. I have a Beamssworks DA on the 220g and I know @sir_keith runs them too. I will replace my Finnex, Current and Fluval LEDs with BW once the name brands start dying. Finnex power supplies are problematic as they burn up capacitors which are 0.10/ea if you're handy with a solder iron.
