When I first entered the hobby there was only one pleco, namely
Plecostomus plecostomus, a nondescript dark brown fish that many hobbyists bought to do algae clean-up in their 10-gallon tanks. Yikes! These fishes soon grew to ginormous proportions! And truthfully, I only became aware of the diversity of these fishes, with all the incomprehensible L-numbers, when I joined the Fishbox. Obviously they have a big fanbase here, so don't you think we need a '
What did you do with your pleco(s) today?' thread?
