All those meals look so good! I will dream of them as I crack open a can of soup for lunch.

Im a bit of a movie buff and enjoy my home theater setup quite a bit... but I just realized that I kind of am a little bit of a Godzilla nerd. Not just the new stuff but I enjoy the old stuff I grew up with as a kid.

Cue up the Blue Oyster Cult Godzilla song because November 3 is GODZILLA DAY!

They just announced a new movie from the same guy who did Godzilla Minus One.

Hopefully as good as the last. I just bought the Minus One, Minus Color version to watch. I think it might give the movie that “old” feel.
That's what they said about the minus color. Some people really like it. I'm more of a Kung Fu/Wire Fu guy. But I do enjoy the old Japanese Monster movies. Even more when MST3000 commentated.

I made this dish for an elderly neighbor yesterday. You might be fooled by the appearance- it could be a chicken Pot-Au-Feu, or any of a number of different ethnic comfort foods- but it is actually an Anglo-Indian dish from Kerala. Chicken, root vegetables, and peas, obviously, but in a base of coconut milk, ginger, puréed onions, and green chilies; seasoned with with curry leaves, mustard seeds, black cardamon, green cardamon, cloves, cinnamon, turmeric, and Kashmiri chilies. Traditionally finished with Garam Masala, but I used a homemade Kerala Masala that a friend brought back from his Mom's kitchen in India last summer. This version is slightly hot, and extremely aromatic. I'm not generally a big fan of Raj cuisine, being much more enamored of genuine regional Indian cooking, but this one is a winner.

Makkhani murghi (Butter Chicken). This is an unusual Indian dish, but absolutely scrumptious. From the appearance you might imagine the sauce to be yogurt-based, but that is not the case. Small pieces of chicken-on-the-bone are simmered in a tomato sauce seasoned with ginger, roasted cumin, Kashmiri chilies, green chilies, garam masala, and lemon juice, then finished with cream and butter, much like a classic French sauce. This is the rustic version, served over Basmati; if I were serving this to guests I might puree and strain the sauce, and perhaps serve it with fresh, buttered egg noodles to add mystery to the presentation. A Provençal Rosé would further complicate the message. Surprises at table are good.

Got my 4K Godzilla Minus One last night, sadly no digital copy included, but no issue since I had bought that a while back. I didnt really watch the movie but played the first 15 minutes or so and messed around a bit and found that it does have an english language soundtrack to it. Im not sure if it will change the feel of the movie as opposed to the original Japanese with English subtitles. Will need to rewatch with the English audio and see what I think. Bonus disc had a few cool things on it that I watched for a bit, especially in regards how the effects were done. I have watched the movie once on streaming with no surround sound going, so Im really looking forward to giving the new receiver some time to flex its muscles and rewatch this in all its glory. Still havent done the 'Minus Color' version yet either though I got that one on digital too.

The only way to watch a Kong or Godzilla is with a bad dub over :D

Finally figured out how to print text in Lushootseed. Going to add the pronunciation in smaller text below and print the text as the top layers for the future. This is a test to make sure it worked.
This is for salmonberry.
