It was interesting to see the one new comer with just a slightly different pattern on it. We had talked about the listing at Imperial as being “Import-Columbia” and it was wild caught.

In it it has a P. tankei, the tiger Panaqolus that reminded me a bit of your new guy

I saw this article earlier today but didn’t give it much attention. It could be the L398 but it will have to grow a bit to determine. I’m going to try to get some better pictures and return to that article for a more attentive read.

Time will tell. I do like how it looks but doesn't help the L104 breeding plans if its a different L number. Should have ordered more! lol

Here are the 3 little clowns we are discussing

I have more pictures from this evening but I will have to sort out who’s who. I’m calling them J1, J2, and J3 where J=juvenile. Juvenile, I know but I’m kinda simple.

After conferring with some more knowledgeable than me on planet catfish it is possible that I received an L448/LDA 67 which do originate from Columbia.
J1 and 3 are L104, J2 being a possible LDA 67. The difference is the lines on the face of J2. Not sure if these will cross.

My males haven’t shown their gill plate odontids before. This last go around the one did

Just finished a 2 week "dry season" with temp up around 88F. Did their water change and dropped the temp down to upper 70's. Hope this inspires some action.

Normally, when i do the temp change I feed 3-4 times a day, pellets, bloodworms, shrimp..... it has worked for me

I was out of town for 3 weeks and a large severum in the same system died tainting the water. I spoke with the house sitter and she said that the dead fish was removed the same day it died. It caused a cascade of death in the rack system.

@fishguy1978, do you think you will try another group of these or a different small pleco type?
