Im planning on continuing kanaplex through Saturday as I brain farted and didn’t write down when I started. I have also been sprinkling a little epsom salt on their food as well.

Good idea with the Epsom salt, it works well with treatment for Hex or HITH and fairly gentle product on the fish.

How is the fish progressing now? Bumps disappearing or reduced?

The male’s eyes are looking better. He’s still super pouty though. Female acts as if nothing happened.
The fin damage is from the net

Choco lotto’s eyes have both cleared up but both he and the female are showing signs of infection so started kanaplex in the food again.

Either prolapsed anus or ovipositor but it’s an epsom bath for the female choco. 1Tbsp per gallon.
And a pic of the male cause he gorgeous.

The espsom bath seems to have done the trick. The fat blob of flesh sloughed off in the bath. She’s still skiddish but improved.

Saw all three at feeding time. Even at this size there’s some aggression towards each other.

At that size it looks like a lot of other cichlid’s… anything different with these 3 new ones? Catch location? Local bred?

I’m not sure about local bred but I think these are just the regular chocolates. I had casually checked several online sources and none were available. This was a total impulse buy. They weren’t pricey either.
All three are settled into the 60g cube. I moved the hoplo cats out and split them between the 260g and the 220g.

I have a spawn!!! He is very defensive of the area. I had to remove the female as he won’t tolerate her now
