What did you do with your tank(s) today?

A little irritated with Wet Spot. I got confirmation my package was for today but now I get the update that its tomorrow. They created the label and had that all done but the box was not packed or shipped out yesterday. So I wait an extra day.

Im rethinking the 65B home of the red wolf, it is very empty due to the nature of the old fish being so blind. I have a couple soft plastic plants and that is it. I need to add some rocks or something. I was considering something from Universal Rocks like a fake stump or rocks but I just am not finding exactly what I want. I need something with height in the tall tank without taking up a ton of swimming space and it needs to be safe for the fish...

Pulled elodea out of the 2 2.5's. wouldn't know it though lol Moved some into the sorority, the male Betta tanks and the baby goldfish tank. Definitely don't mind that growing like crazy. Just hope it does ok with the higher temps. It's basically just over it's comfort zone :(
Moved some moss out of the French blue tank since it's doing well there and put it in the sticklebacks tank. Also moved a lot of baby scuds into the moss and plants in there. Hopefully they can establish in the gravel and plants.

My red wolf has arrived. Im still at work so I had the wife unbox it and float it in the tank. By the time Im home from work the water should be the right temp and I can begin to acclimate it. Always exciting to get a new fish but a bit bummed in this case because the other one had to get put down.

On a not so fun note, the windstorm knocked out a couple of sections of fence in my back yard. So we are getting bids for repair and or redoing the entire fence along the back. The complete replacement is likely what we are shooting for since the previous neighbors only installed a five foot tall fence instead of six.

It makes me laugh when I see it! :rofl She makes a good avatar pic!
She tends to put a smile on peoples faces :) Little kids love her while parents look on slightly uneasy but also fascinated before finally slowly touching her lol Wife tends to do the petpalooza and such events for her work. I bring her to the Kent and Auburn ones to say hi.
So many times I hear "Can I pet your iguana?" Or "I thought iguanas were green?" lol

Ive been fascinated with reptiles and have considered one but just have too many fish tanks going to feel like I could give a fair amount of time to another pet. But the beardies are cute and I have thought about it.

There are two up for adoption with tanks on Auburn Craigslist right now..... lol
They are a lot of maintenance though. Just like fish, they need certain lights replaced on a schedule, fresh veggies (easy she eats the same greens, fruits and berries we do) live insects, enrichment etc... Kinda like keeping a big predator, fancy goldfish, koi etc... High maintenance but a special place in the heart.

Finished up water changes in the garage tanks.

Had to step outside this morning and found a huge nightcrawler moving around so I fed it to the puffer. Always interesting to watch puffers feed. The worm is absolutely huge compared to the puffer, but with the tooth structure he cut it up and ate it like nothing. No challenge at all for it. Fun little fish that doesn't require a lot of space. One of my all time favorite fish, so much so that when my last one past away after 8yrs, I knew I wanted to have another.

Dmd, what was the wetspot asking for the red wolf fish? I remember when I bought mine at that size it was about 80 bucks at AP…..

Sucks you lost your big one .

On a different note, my son did water changes on my garage tanks today for me, and we went together to AP to grab some bloodworms for the clown knife I’ve had for the past 4-5 months….. he’s slowly getting bigger ( about 6” total now).

Yeah, sad to lose the big guy, he was a fun fish.

New one from Wet Spot was $49.99 and shipping is $39.99, so a bit higher than the price at AP but I at least had a few to choose from. I contacted Wet Spot and asked for a few features, turned out they had 8 in stock and two met my request and they sent pics and let me pick.
