Hatched & raised in my home. His parents came from a breeder in Stanwood. He’s about 3 years old, fat and healthy. Pearly white with subtle blue and yellow/green iridescence and long flowing fins, he shows up splendidly in a tank. Estimated length is approx. 3.5 to 4 inches; he would not cooperate with getting measured.
He has all the cichlid personality—eats tank mates that fit in his mouth, beats up on the rest, digs huge pits in the gravel and upsets all the landscaping, chews on the plants when we’re not looking. He’s not the friendliest cichlid I’ve had, but he does enjoy watching us work in the kitchen. He’ll park his nose in the tank corner so that he can see out both sides.
Also available: A couple of oversized anubias plants. I do not know which species. They’ve held up well to my chewy cichlid, and multiplied via many offshoots and cuttings over the years.
Asking $5 for the fish and for each plant; or partial trade for a working LED light fixture that would fit a 24” tank. Pick up or meet up in Everett.
Please PM me if interested! Thank you
