well I need some assistance from you fish boxers, earlier this week I lost the one fish that has been with me the longest my Dovii. so my question to you all is, now that I have a 300 gallon tank available what should I put in it? my pleco tank is getting too small and I have so many scattered out throughout the other tanks I was thinking of turning the 30 into a giant pleco tank. what do you all think or should I put something else in there?

I'd say pleco tank. That gets them out of your room and people could actually see them =P

No, I can't see you being happy using all of that prime real estate for plecos......

You know I already told you a beautiful pair of RTM or some other cichlids that are hard to come by ( quality that is)in this region.

I'd like to see someone raise an emperor cichlid. I wonder if they'd be dovii like.

I also think you'd enjoy a Mbu or a Fahaka puffer.

I think that is a great idea messy plecos need the volume and filtration but you need at least one show fish or a school of show fish to swim back in forth in the front of the tank or else...... boring. Go with something out of the ordinary get out of your comfort zone! lol All the pleco tanks on you tube have the plecos by themselves or with discus and cory catfish there has got to new ground to tread on this one like what about with elephant noses and baby whales and a bunch of odd ball fish? or just something different.

This I have thought about, and am going through some ideas. I am not a fan of the elephant nose or whales, but I do understand what your saying. Thing is, the fish needs to be a low ph fish, I thought about a large school of roseline sharks. Hmmm

I believe that it was just his time to go. He started acting different a few weeks back, and stopped eating the day of that video, if you notice, I made a comment about him not eating when I fed him. :(

Emperer cichlid would be awesome.... Never seen one in real life, at least a big one....24"+

Or you could finally grow out (successfully) a monster umbee..... Like the ones you see on those fancy South American fishing trip pictures....)
