HELP HOB Overflow Box Leaking

Sleeves

Active Member
I have the ESHOPPS pf-1000 HOB Overflow box.

I hardlined with PVC from the bulkheads to the drip tray.

I have a leak now from one of the bulkheads from the overflow box.

I took the bulkhead apart and cleaned and inspected the gasket and the box. No debri, sand or cracks.

re-assembled and still leaks.

any suggestion for an urgent repair?

Those bulk heads are really cheap, I have had issues with them many times, I have just replaced them with better bulk heads.

alright...so looks like I'm going to be good...

Just got off the phone with Eric at The Shark Reef in Silverdale and he has several bulkheads in stock!!!

That place is great!

If it's the seal any hardware store should have replacements that'll fit.

If it's "now time" disassemble everything, wipe all that you can dry, grab your silicon tube (because everyone that's anyone - expecially with a sump, lol - has a big tube of silicone laying around) and lay it on everywhere it's leaking! Let dry for about 30 minutes. Restart system...

If push comes to shove and it continues to leak, I have 3 overflowboxes jsut laying around, Ill give you a great deal on one of them.

Glad you were able to contact The Shark Reef. Eric is pretty awesome, and is possibly the ONLY saltwater place within Kitsap County.

Which reminds me, we should hang sometime.
