Hi All,

I've been looking for a slower growing stem plant for my 75 gallon.  I have been growing Bacopa salzmannii for a year or so now in my emersed plant bank in anticipation of trying it in a scape.  Four weeks ago I took three emersed stems and planted them in my 75 gallon.

5/24/14  Bacopa salzmannii emersed stems (along with Ludwigia glandulosa emersed stems)

Today the stems are double the original height and the upper leaves are starting to turn reddish.  FYI I did not lose any of the emersed leaves that were on the stems when I planted them.

Hi All,

I will try to get some pics of the Ludwigia glandulosa later this weekend, it is doing really well also.

@cichlid-gal Yes is does flower when it is emersed; smallish blueish flowers. I planted another half dozen emersed stems this week and I must have pulled 3 or 4 flowers off of the stems prior to planting.
