A predator to assist me with endler and shrimp population control

I've gotten it into my head that a single predator fish will solve all my problems - mainly consuming baby / juvenile endlers and surplus shrimp that are either unwanted or I'm too lazy to sell. Here are my requirements:

Can live at least somewhat happily without any other of its kind around
Can live happily a 20g long with brief stints in my 10g tanks as necessary
Prefers shrimp and baby fish to consuming plants (the aforementioned brief stints into my 10g planted tanks; the 20L doesn't have any plants I care about)
Will eat shrimp of all sizes and baby fish up to 3/4" in size
Edit: Is fine in water with a PH of around 7.5 - 7.8, dGH 3, dKH 4

Can anyone suggest a suitable predator fish?

A recommendation I got on another forum was a Honduran Red Point. That seems like it would fit the bill, or perhaps a male convict. Any other possibilities or thoughts on why a HRP or a convict wouldn't work or thoughts on how this is a dumb idea to begin with? :D

Beautiful fish! Are they relatively easy to find in a store? I read that they can be shy; I'm not sure if that matters or not here. :)

golden wonder killifish..

they are monsters, dont eat plants but will eat anything that will fit there large mouths!

and they are pretty^_^ males are bright gold! and females if you get the wild type are lovely with black bars red dots and gold fins!

they dont care much about water as long as it is clean

mine breed and thrive in my 29 gallon (group of 3) with my cold water fish..the temp stays in the mid to low 70s some times in to the 60s and as high as 85.

awesome monster fish who will interact with you...mine bite me all the time

Ahh yes, I've researched those a bit before and I've seen them at petsmart.

Thank you both for the suggestions!

I guess they would probably take on the smaller baby shrimp but the adults may be too much. Ive never kept them but am totally intrigued by them.

Indeed; they're neat fish.

I think I'm going to try to stop by petsmart this week and see if they have any decent-sized GWKs. I don't usually have a ton of luck with petsmart fish, but maybe it'll be different this time (hah, yah right...). I've looked at them in the store on multiple occasions and found them to be very cool-looking fish, but stayed away after I researched them a bit. But I didn't have an endler probably back then... ;)

I acquired 2 golden wonder killifish at petsmart this afternoon. I believe I have a male and a female - the male is larger and a very vibrant yellow while the female is gray-white with less fin coloration. Both are about 2" in size. They seem to be very healthy and active. They all rushed the front of the tank when I tried to point to the one I wanted (so helpful!).

And once I acclimated them and dumped them in the tank (after fishing the male up off of the garage floor once - and yes, I knew they were jumpers so I have no excuse) it only took the male about 1 minute before he ate his first endler - and it was about 3/4" long! The female started trying to munch on them first; I'm not sure if she got one or not yet, but she wasn't chasing them anymore when I went back out there so I assume she did.

Needless to say, they're already doing their job. Thanks for the recommendation, Kaosu! :D

And they're beautiful fish. I'll see if I can get some photos later this week.

Beautiful! Much prettier than mine (she doesn't have the bars).

Well, you never know. :) I'll have to keep something in that 20g after I eventually get rid of all the endlers (many are far too big to be eaten!).
