The snobbiness didnt last long with the red wolf. Didnt feed him for a day and he was right back on pellets. Love food driven fish! If only I could get my puffer on pellets...

All the croaking was worth it I guess lol The three tubs that produce the least amount of live food (plan was to drain and move them to a sunnier spot) are the three that were frog approved for spawning. Several years of moving tadpoles has paid off :)

Took the family up to Buckley. Stopped by tropical fish world.

They had more tanks running with a good selection of fish. Not a ton cichlid wise, but that’s kinda where the hobby has been flowing more recently.

I did see they had a silver arrowana ( just a little one) for 30 and some change. I asked about the jardini and she said she might be getting some in on Monday but they would be QT’d for a week before selling them. Told me to call on Tuesday to see if they got any in and what price they might be selling at. Figured I would as if the price is right, I’d definitely jump on one.

I ended up buying one of the small silver arrowana and a school of XL cardinal tetras for my community tank….. it cracks me up when they look huge in the smaller 40b petstore tanks and then look tiny in my 75g.

As for all my other fish, they are plugging along. I did a water change and gravel vac on my living room tank ( it’s been way too long, but I’m working on getting back after them).

Tomorrow my son said he would clean, vacuum, and fill my garage tanks for me where I keep my cichlids.

I should mention that on Friday, I also swung by aquarium paradise, bought some “feeder” guppies and put them in with my clown knife fish ( a rare treat for him). He seemed unsure about them when I added them in, but this morning I noticed I didn’t have as many in the tank, so I’m guessing he figured it out.

Pics coming soon

Need help identifying these tetras… I’ve had them about 6 months, bought them as unidentified tetras but I’d like to get more so I need to know what to research.

Anyone have an idea?IMG_9852.jpegIMG_9850.jpegIMG_9851.jpeg

Here are a couple of shots of my clown knife. He’s about 6-7” total length now….. I keep the lights dimmed so he is more comfortable.

Here is the new baby silver arrowana. It is currently in a 75g with just a lone juvenile bn female pleco.

This filter has always caused these little bubbles in the tank. I’m not sure why, but it is one of those extra large HOB filters I’ve just kept forever and can’t even remember the brand…..

Back to this tank, I’d like to add some other fish to tank and saw that AP had juvenile albino hoplo cats. I’m leaning toward them now. And as the arrowana gets larger I’ll just move them to my tetra tank.IMG_9861.jpegIMG_9863.jpeg

Got a bit further on the pond filter. Lower outflow medium is in place. Need to wash more of the old stuff out then fill the center to support plant pots but not drown roots. Thinking about adding a couple small mesh bags of filter sand into the filter, but that's easy enough to do. I did add a charcoal bag I had lying around, more to act as a little more filtration for now.

Going through my fish food yesterday, I realized how low of stock I was on many things, so today was an order day from Chewy. Northfin and Omega One pellets this time around. Was great they had a $15 off $49 coupon (+ free shipping) because I hadn't shopped with them for a little while. Will be stocked up again for a little while.
